Saying Goodbye and Thank you to Pres. Cory
http://www.atd-quartmonde.org/Cory-Aquino-a-symbol-of-justice.html
President Aquino wrote a letter of support to the International Movement, ATD Fourth World during the first commemoration of the International Day of Overcoming Extreme Poverty at Trocadero Plaza, Paris, France on October 17, 1987. During her term as as the Philippine president, she officially commemorated October 17. It was during President Fidel Ramos' term that October 17 was officially declared as a National Day wherein government agencies and local governments will actively participate in its commemoration.
